These movements didn't just spring up; they have been systematically organized over the past ten years.
An email discussion for campus activists on countering the Right was launched in February 1995, and is called CAN-RW (Campus Activists' Network, Right-Wing alert). The discussion attracted over 700 participants and resulted in a successful National Day of Action against the Contract With America, with over 100 campuses joining together to slow down the Gingrich onslaught.
This discussion is continuing so that we can educate ourselves about right-wing movements and strategize an effective response on our campuses and in our communities. We invite discussion on:
