Challenge the Lie$:

Lie #11

"The military will provide the skills necessary to get a good job when you discharge."

What's the Truth?

Studies show that veterans receive only 1.78 months of career training per tour.

A Bryants & Wilhite survey in 1990 found that only 12% of male and 6% of female veterans used their training in the civilian workplace, and that veterans earned $1,700 less per year than those who had no military experience.

Dick Cheney, Secretary of Defense during the Bush Administration , said that the "military is here to win wars, not to provide better job opportunities."
