What's the Truth?
Most jobs created by military spending have been traditionally held by men. Studies by Marion Anderson of Employment Research Associates have demonstrated that conversion from military to social spending increases the job supply for women (and also for men) who are entering professions that help people.
Cutting the military budget and spending more money on social service fields would benefit some people more than others, as does our current choice of high military spending.
