Challenge the Lie$:

Lie #4

"Subsidizing arms sales to other countries will provide good jobs in the U.S. and enhance national security."

What's the Truth?

The Clinton administration subsidized over $7 billion in foreign arms sales in both 1995 and 1996.

The military industry has made poor countries addicted to militarism. U.S. companies have even agreed to build the weapons in the countries buying them (where wages are lower). Is this the kind of "economic development" poor nations really need?

The last 4 times* US troops were sent into battle, they faced US-made weapons.

* Panama, Haiti, Iraq, Somalia
