Challenge the Lie$:

Lie #7

"We need to cut student aid in order to balance the federal budget."

What's the Truth?

Financial aid to students who demonstrate need costs less than $25 billion dollars a year, and has significant economic benefits for our country.

The annual cost of U.S. military spending is $265.6 billion dollars in 1996, some of which goes for weapons even the Pentagon says it does not need.

Stop the Raid on Student Aid! You can't cut the fat where you're lean.
